Dr. Thomas Endres is Chairman of the Presidium and Executive Board of VOICE, the Association of IT-users and Co-Chairman of the Presidium and Executive Board of the European CIO Association, an independent and not-for-profit representative for large IT-users.
He is member of Supervisory and Advisory Boards in companies, where the handling of technologies and digital transformation is for great relevance to the further development of business. He is also active as a digital entrepreneur.
Dr. Endres studied materials science and ceramics engineering at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and at Alfred University in New York. Holding a doctorate in engineering, he worked for AUDI AG in Germany and Hungary where he was responsible for change projects in quality management and production. After spending four years at Eurofighter Management Agency as deputy personnel director, he started his career at Lufthansa in 2001 as general manager HR-IT. Until 2012 he was member of the Supervisory Board at Lufthansa Systems AG and as Group CIO, he was responsible for Lufthansa Group information management including strategy, shared services and security management.
Dr. Endres is regarded as a proven expert in the fields of innovation-, digital-excellence and change management. He knows various industries, such as travel and transportation, aerospace and the automotive industry.
